OAP Christmas Party

Our OAP Christmas Party is the biggest and best community service event that we organise each year. It is a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon to be part of - the video below shows the fun we have and what it entails.

Every December we don our Santa hats and help the OAPs in our town to get into the Christmas spirit with a big party. This involves decorating a venue with tinsel, paper chains, a Christmas tree and photos of past events, all whilst dancing around the hall to Christmas music. Some of our members act as a taxi service to help members of the community reach their destination in style.

When the guests of honour have all arrived, the spread of sandwiches, cakes and biscuits are thoroughly enjoyed. This can all be washed down with copious amounts of tea and coffee, provided throughout the afternoon. We also provide entertainment in the form of a raffle, bingo and carol singing, all whilst mixing with our guests.

During the festivities we have a special visit from Santa, who hands out presents to everyone – providing everyone has been on their best behaviour over the last few months of course!

It is always a really fun event to be a part of, and allows us all to give back to the community in the festive season.
